Paratha

Paratha is one of the most popular unleavened flatbreads in northern India. Paratha is a fusion of the words ‘parat’ and ‘atta’ and literally means ‘baked dough layers’. Parathas can be stuffed with potatoes (aloo parantha), vegetables or paneer (Indian cheese) among others.

Chole Bhature or Chana Bhatura is native to Punjab (Northern India) and western Pakistan. It consists of spicy chickpeas (chole) and fried bread (bhatura). Chole Bhatura is usually accompanied by fresh onions, green pepper, lemon slices and achaar (pickles).
